How does the NPS calculator work?
The calculator compounds your monthly contribution using the expected annual return assumption until the selected retirement age. It then applies the chosen annuity allocation to estimate an indicative pension.
What you can change
- Contribution: A higher monthly contribution can build a larger projected corpus.
- Return assumption: This is only an estimate because NPS returns are market-linked.
- Annuity allocation: Changing this affects the amount used for the indicative pension estimate.
- Annuity rate: The pension estimate depends on the assumed annuity rate.
NPS returns are not guaranteed. Actual corpus, exit options, taxation and annuity conditions depend on applicable rules and the pension provider.
